Rule Change Proposals 1 and 3 were approved at the Met Council Meeting tonight, so the rules for 2004 are now set. (I'm not going to post the details of these proposals yet again!) I'll have the complete rules ready to post online later this week.
I have a set of 2004 SCCA Rules in hand now. Lee, I have a set for you, if you need them. Given our change to SCCA car classification rules for 2004, I think it would be valuable to have a separate forum for car classing questions & discussions. Does this sound like a good idea?

Yahoo!
Now, instead of getting my rear handed to me by featherweight open wheel cars, I can get my rear handed to me by modified Z06 and C5 corvettes, and turbo miatas.

Shouldn't a conventionally-supercharged Miata be a better choice for autocross than a turbo-supercharged Miata? Historically, turbocharged vehicles have been more difficult to drive at the limit in autocrosses due to throttle lag.
The Corvette thing seems a lot more course-dependent. Hope for lots of slaloms.
Is the class of which you write E-Modified?
You could run EM and be in a very small class or EMt and be in a very large class.
Darned if I know what other alphabet-soup class this car might fit. Have you won the SI trophy yet?

'Historical' turbocharged vehicles basically sucked for drivability.
Modern turbos - a properly sized modern turbo - will have very little turbo lag at all.
