Does anyone know of any decent tire installers that wont try to charge me what they think I can afford?
Last time I think I got the M3 special. It was 100$ more than the first time they installed them.

Oh, The M3 special. I hate it when I get that. I'm not sure of any places in the TC that will change tires for a fair price.
Pomp's tire in La Crosse is super cheap. My father took in the GSR and had the tires flopped on the rims and they charged him $15 for all for. What a sweet deal...
PS: One other thing. The guy was on his lunch break and he floated him cash. :)
Uhhh, check with Jon, he has a rim clamp tire changer and I have the computer tire balancer.

Amoco Certicare in Eagan at Cedar & Diffley only charged me $15/tire for a mount & balance. Also Discount tire in Burnsville was quite a bit cheaper than the local Tires Plus, Firestone & Goodyear shops.

Both Rick and I have had good luck with Saturn Dealers. They will do mount and balance for between $12 and $15 per wheel. They can handle alloy wheels with no problem. If you need stick-on weights, you should plan on bringing your own because they have only hammer-on.
Uhhhhh, well I think we could do it for $12 per tire, and we have stick - on weights.
Do you really want to drive to HamLake?

GAH!!!!
Norm's tire wanted to charge me 50$ extra cuz of special "M3 wheels in certain years"...I just gave him a funny look and left.
Eurotech wouldn't even try.
Twin City Tire charged me a normal(high) amount the first time I installed tires there. The second time they charged me 100$ more than the first time.
I say again...GAH!!!!!
Bridgestone S03(235/40/17) on (7.5/8.5")

I am dumb..I did it at Discount tire today.
It was 125. (Mount + Hunter *700 road force balance)

Poor stupid *******...but with new tires.
Well I would have done it for $12-15 per tire plus stick on weight's.
My son Brian besides restoring OBJ's, also will install those tires.
And even I could do it with my arthritic body.

Maybe next time you'll use the old beater to bring the rims and tires to the shop.
Discount Tire nailed you because you didn't buy the tires from them. Have you considered checking the Tire Rack's participating installers? Maybe they'll kiss ya when they screw ya.

No those were the worst.
Norm's wanted 175$
Eurotech wouldn't do it.
Dealer wanted 154$
Discount did it for 125$
Twin City tire was 124$(first time) 220(second time...for some reason...)
I just wanted to do the road force balancing thing. Didn't know if you had the machine...and I wanted to get the tires out of my car.
