OK,
I have a few MG's. A few other guys in town are building the same exact setup- MG B's with Camaro V6 engine with Seqential port injection, Distributorless Ignition, T5 five speeds, lightened flywheels, 3.42 LSD Camaro rear axles with 4 wheel discs... Some have composite rear leaf springs, and coil over adjustable front suspension, so on and so on..... Point is, pretty quick, but not at all stock.

Basic question:
Is there a class that these cars can run in that will not automatically put them against the old A mod and B mod cars? No street car can ever live up to those.

Some have laughing gas on top of all this. :gent:

These cars would be OK in E-Modified. The roll-bar thing could be tricky. If they did not have sticky tires, the eventmaster might let them run without roll bars. The SCCA rule book states that the intent of the rule is to prevent open cars running with racing slicks and without roll bars.

Failing that any street legal car can be driven in Special Interest. Once a driver wins the first-place trophy in SI, (s)he is banned for life.

Laughing gas (nitrous oxide) is not allowed in any car in any class at Met Council events, or in your body, either.
