I have been doing quite a bit of research on you races but still have a few questions....
What class does a 1992 Corvette run in with these mods...
muff eliminators,96 Grand Sport wheels and tires (wider), electric water pump, MSD Ignition, Hypertech chip, Lightweight flywheel, K&N Filter?
It is equipped w/NOS, what would I need to disconnect/remove to race?
My best guess at a class would be Street Prepared B, is that correct?
If not which?
Would that car be competitive for the class it fits?
What Is the street tire class?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Your car would be classed in BSP. The class is primarily made up of vettes & M3's, so you'd feel right at home. Your car's biggest shortcoming in SP would be tires, as the class allows DOT-approved race tires. If you're just starting out, I wouldn't worry about that too much, as it's easier to learn on street tires anyway.
You could choose to run in MAC's Street Tire class, which uses an equalizing factor called PAX/RTP (http://www.scca-chicago.com/solo/indexes/rtp2004.html) to allow cars from various classes to compete against one another. This is a fun place to play, as thre will always be plenty of folks signed up for ST, ensuring lively competition.
As a rookie, you can also sign up for SI, which is a head-to-head class for new autoxers that usually attracts a good-sized group of drivers. You can only stay in SI until you notch a win.
I would highly recommend attending MAC Novice School (http://www.myautoevents.com/pls/mae/frmEventDetail.Show?psevent_id=1391). It will make you first events a lot more enjoyable and successful.
Hope this helps!

p.s. The NOS definitely needs to be removed, prior to attending any autocross event. Just disconnect the bottle and leave it at home. Make sure to point out the fact that you have removed the bottle to the tech inspector, so there won't be any questions/concerns later.

Does the SI class use the same equalizing factors as the street tire class?

Actually I believe the electric water pump bumps you to Prepared. Street Prepared doesn't allow this mod.
I don't have a problem with you running BSP, just reading the rules.

Steve's correct, the electric water pump actually bumps you to prepared, unless it was available as an option for your car. If the other BSP competitors are OK with the pump, you could still run in BSP. Otherwise, you'd be in B Prepared. However, I'd recommend running in SM2 instead, as we'll have a good group of drivers running in that class this year. (Sorry to make this so complicated!)
As for SI, it doesn't use PAX - just a simple head-to-head competition, which should put you in a pretty strong position. ;)
