Just want to say thanks to all the Corvette folks who showed everyone such a great time at their St. Cloud autocross event today. The course was a happy blend of both track and parking lot elements, with average times around 1:15+. Speeds, even on the track portions, were kept well within reason, based on my never having gotten out of second gear in my TT (about 60mph). We started with a parade lap for EVERYONE, and got in nine timed runs by about 3:00! (And special thanks to their weather steward, who kept it pleasantly breezy most of the day and held off any rain!)
For those of you who haven't made the trip up to St. Cloud for any events there, you're missing out! The drive from the Twin Cities is only about an hour+, you get lots of seat time, and the opportunity to drive a mix of track and parking lot sections. This was really fun, and many thanks to the people who put this one together!

Durn.
Caught a screw in the front tire friday night. New tires (already ordered) come in on Monday.
Wish I could have gone.

Thanks for the kind review Bob :D
To complete the story Saturday went well too while we did need to end the event early (about 1:30) after 6 runs because of pending severe weather. While the event was dry through all the timed runs most everyone got really wet before they left, I know I had squishy feet!
Thanks for the good work to everyone that attended either day, the participants made it all work!

HELL YEAH!!!! The event was a blast! The best autocross/track event I have ever been so far!!! Special thanks to COM for delivering this wonderful time! I only participated on Saturday before the rain ruined it but it was still amazing how much seating time we got in the little period we had of good weather. Keep up the good work guys!!!
BIG THANX AGAIN!!!

I really need to get up there this year. It sounds like too much fun!
COM events have always been the best ones IMHO. I remember doing at most 70mph then threshold braking for a tight hairpin on a very uneven road surface. Not your typical autocross course but fun still. I sorely miss autocrossing :(.
I'll add my compliments to COM and SCCM also. Don's course on Saturday and Dave's course on Sunday were excellent and fun. The management of both events was smooth. Registration and Tech are pretty painless. No annoying problems came up during the timed runs. This took away a lot of stress and kept the focus on what we all came there for.
Thanks. The events were well worth the two round trips to St. Cloud.

I'm adding my cudos to Don and Dave for the great time at St Cloud.
First rate course designs. It was a challange, but way big FUN. They say that the new portion of the track was narrow. That part of the course just added to the challange. You'll notice that them big honkin vettes stayed on the road, so it wasn't that narrow!
Well organized and well run event. If it hadn't rained on Saturday we might well have come away with 12 times runs.... Yes it was that good!
