Does anyone know of a good place with a touchless tire mounting machine who can mount some tires for me without scratching the rims? I'm looking for a place with someone who's very experienced (not some highschool kid at Tires Plus) to do this because I do not want my rims scratched or chipped in any way. Thanks for any information, I really appreciate it.:)

Dwight has the equipment and the skills. His machine is a rim grip that can either grip the outer edge of the rim or the inner, depending on the wheel design. He can also balance without having to spin them to 140.
He's a good guy who is kind to dogs and little old ladies. :dancin:

Thanks for the information. How would I go about getting in touch with this kind hearted man? His machine is a touchless right? I need something that can mount a set of 215/45/R17 Potenza SO-3s onto my rims. Thanks again for your help.

Peter: Thanks for the offer but I'm interested to see if Dwight can help me out with this first.

Dwight is a nice guy, in spite of his weak arms, and a thing about:

DANCING BANANNAS :dancin:

(just kidding, Mr. President. I'm partial to the bananna too)

I'm thinking on this friday to stop by and get friend Steve's tires mounted. I'll give you a call first to confirm.

What about Dan?:D Can Dan come by when he gets his tires and use your machine as well? I've been a tire tech before so it wouldn't be a problem mounting the tires myself, I'll pay you for using your tools and machine. :) I'll give you a call next week to set up an appointment or something. Thank you very much.

Regards,
Dan

Dan,
Dwight's good with tires but easily confused. He's been hanging out with us geezers too long. I'm sure he meant Dan.

Dancing banananananananas dance because:

A.) They can.

B.) They're thinking about that Ice Cream, chocolate, strawberry and pineapple topping and whipped cream that they will soon be a part of.

C.) They ate some bad mushrooms.

D.) They are full of joy at being in a motorsports forum.

E.) Dwight likes them.

I vote for "D" and "E"

Hehehe, Dan, I think Dwight was thinking of Tony, since our last names are the same.

Just like how we think all "ANDERSONs and JOHNSONs" can be confusing, I can see how Dwight can confuse all the "NGUYENs", hehehhe.

Hey Dwight, whereabouts are you located? How far north of the ROSEVILLE mall?

There is so much variance in every vehicle due to different doorlock systems, factory anti-theft systems, etc. Many modern cars have multi-plexed circuitry and "databus" systems that require extra labor to interface. Not to mention many have factory IMMOBILZER systems to intergrate with if you are looking for the top of the line CompuStar Remote Start/Paging/Security system.

Just give me a call directly to discuss your particular application. The STREET SCENES shop will set-up an appointment for you, but you can direct any inquires to me. HAND COMMAND does work for them.

Car security, yes. Remote starters, yes. Cruise controls, No!!! hehehhe

I remember many years ago when I worked at SUNROOFs ETC. ( which later became CARTOYZ on Penn Ave ) When I got hired, they told me they were no longer installing them, but to be "Prepared" to have some come back that were out there. At that time, the systems offered were not too reliable, but Im sure now the industry has come out with better units better compatiable with todays electronics.

Remember, back in the day, some vehicles didnt even have VSS signals or speed pulse sensors on the axles or drivetrain. Now you got vehicles today that dont even have a THROTTLE CABLE!!

My oh my have vehicle electronics changed!!!

Dwight, I am an authorized dealer for CompuStar 2way systems and SecureStart remote starters, security and keyless entry. I install for some local car dealerships and stay busy by word of mouth.

I focus more on the QUALITY of the install VS the QUANTITY.

Sure, Circuit City or Best Buy install way more systems in a given period of time than HAND COMMAND, but I guarantee the percentage of comebacks will be way much more.

Oh sure, HAND COMMAND has comebacks. People come back with their other car, their friends car, their spouse's car, their uncle's car........hehehehe.

HAND COMMAND stays busy by word of mouth and by recommendations from others. That is better than any TV, RADIO, or AD in the paper can do.

Talk to Josh Berman that autocrosses with a Miata. I installed a Spread Spectrum CompuStar system in his blue Subaru WRX and he LOVES IT!. It has paging security, remote start ( yes, for a 5 speed - ask him for a demo how the system works to make sure the car is in NEUTRAL with the E-brake engaged). It also has a built-in TURBO TIMER feature that automatically shuts off the car after a cool down.

This CompuStar system is one the most advanced systems on the market today. Make sure you get one PROFESSIONALLY installed by an authorized dealer. I've seen some grey market units installed poorly. Its not your average system to install, nor is it your average system to use. Ask any CompuStar owner that fully understands the system and its many functions if they could settle for anything less and they will tell you NO.

Make sure the shop installs the system correctly and does a good job. I could just hand the customer the owner's manual and say here....read it, but I sometimes spend 45 mins. to an 1 hour to show the customer everything in detail and what to do in all situations so they COMPLETELY understand the system. Some installers may say "thats a waste of time, or is not needed" but to me, it pays off in the end to do a good job and give a complete DEMO.

The customer will have a better understanding and will make full use of all the features ( if hooked up ).

Dwight, I also install DVD, vehicle navigation, AUTO PC's, Nitrous oxide systems, Undercar Neon, etc, basically I understand 12V electronics for vehicles.

My engine transplants consists of completely redone wiring harnesses that look like it came from the factory that way. Feel free to take a look at any of my Honda/Acura engine swaps Ive done. You will probably see some at some AutoX, AARRF, or RockFalls Drag race events. Usually you will see decal or banner of "Swaps By: HAND COMMAND" on them. Customers are proud to display work done by HAND COMMAND. Its never forced upon them to display it in their engine bay.
