Hi ______?
Short answer, we need a under 18 waiver signed by the parent/guardian in the presence of a MAC official or notarized if that is not possible. I may be able to help you --- I have some of these waivers at home (St Louis Park) --- email me at weidnerpaul@netzero.com or call 952-935-7758 (612-529-3842 from 12-4 on Sunday) if you want to set up a time to meet. There is also a Novice School Autocross at Midway Stadium tomorrow, I believe they will also have waivers there as well. The waiver is good only for a specific event, a couple years ago I had a minor's parent sign one for each event thru the year to minimize the hassle...
Probabally not the answer you wanted to hear but that's the procedure, I will do what I can to help so you can run this year.

I'd point out that the Highway Safety Center in St. Cloud doesn't allow minors. :sarc This problem came up for my cousin two years ago.

do riders need to sign a waiver?

I think that riders can only be registered competitors (unless the driver has X number of years experience), and registered competitors need the waiver; correct me if I'm wrong.

MAC's insurance only allows instructors(selected by MAC) to do ride-alongs, no exceptions, if you go to a SCCA sanctioned event they might allow it, but MAC can't...

The waiver I'm referring to is for driving, not watching, I don't believe we've ever had a special minor waiver just for spectating --- any other MAC members wish to comment on this?

Hey, would someone mind just shoving a few waivers in an envalope and sending them my way? i can get them signed and notorized, its just that my parents (the one that is usualy in town) doesnt want to drive all the way up to saint paul, etc, to sign a fourm and then drive back.

Shane,
Kinda hard to do without an address.
:flame:
I have some forms at the house & can mail them out, please post your address here or email it to me at weidnerpaul@netzero.com. How many do you want? I have to fill out the event at the top and we have 5-6 events left, let me know which MOWOGs by number that you want forms for, You will need to have the notary verify in the witness area and stamp it as well with their stamp and have your parent sign it in the notarys presence.
Remember no minors are alloed to drive at St Cloud (site rules not ours) and that you can use our calender to figure the events you can make...

can i just get it signed and notorized, then bring it to the event and have you fill in the top? i dont really know wich events i will be able to participate in yet, and i want to give a few to my friend....
and i didn't really want to post my address here (get enough junk mail as it is..)
Update:
Ok, of all the remaining MOWOG events, the only ones that a minor can possibly attend are: 4,6,7, and 8.
so if i could get 2 for each of those events, one for me and one for my friend, that would be great. my address should be in your e-mail box by now, forget my request for 10.
Thanx a ton!
