View Full Version : What class should I be in??

Hello,

Well, normally I'd race GS in my stock Neon, but unfortunately I'm not positive whether or not I'll have access to it this weekend for Mowog 1. Since I may not be able to drive it, I'd want to race my other car, however, I'm unsure of what class I would be in.

The thing that throws it off is that I have a Carbon Fiber Hood, and the only class that allows you to have a hood other than original (as far as my understanding is) would be Street Modified.

So, due to the CF hood, am I in SM, or is it allowed in other classes?

Thank you,

Street Mod or Prepared. I'd run in Street Mod.

Depending on the mods and the driver wouldn't he be better off in STS????

Except that STS doesn't allow non-standard hoods.....period.

It doesn't say that in the body work rules on this sits for STS?

The general approach you should take when interpreting the rules is that "if it doesn't say you can, then you can't". No where in the STS rules does it permit you to replace the hood. You can ADD body kits, but not remove original body panels.
