For 2 rallycrosses I have taken my video camera and put it on my tripod which is sitting on my rear seats (cushion removed so its on bare metal) and then taken the center seatbelt and STRAPPED the tripod down so it cant move at all.

Its passed rallycross tech both times and they didnt have a problem with it. then again my car would slide and not much force went into the setup.

would this pass autoX tech?

itll be belted down has tight as possible but the lateral forces will be much greater (on azenis) than rallycrossing so I dunno :X

Have your camera in place when you get your car teched and you will find out.
It is hard to give a yes or no answer with out seeing it.

Thanks Steve
Anybody that want sto have a video camera mount on car MUST have it in place during
during tech. It's a safety issue.

As one of the people probably teching, how would a tech-er know if it would pass tech?

Would we just yank on it and shake it around, and if it feels safe, then it's safe?

I am guessing Lee be able to give the final okay on this.
Otherwise would use our best judgement.

Let me look at it if you come across it. This holds true with anything your not sure about.
