Chong has informed me that there maybe additional interest in the Subaru AWD dyno day. Here is My situation, I have contracted with a tuner from Chicago to come up here to tune some Subaru's. My first obligation is to fill the 5 2 hour tuning slots that are for UTEC users.

I am more than happy to put other cars on the AWD dyno but it will be on a first come first served list. If we finish tuning a car and there is say 30 minutes left in that block we will try and put another car on the dyno for a base run so you can get a number. I will also see if I can add some additional slots for base pulls at the end of the day as well. Please be advised I cannot guarantee that we can satisfy all the people that want to run. This is a tuning session not a base pull meet.

If you are interested you can certainly e-mail me and I can add your name on the list for a UTEC tune or a base pull. Of course I will welcome people to come and watch as well the more the merrier!

The dates are July 31, 2004 and possibally August 1, 2004 if head count calls for it.

Do you mean that they're bringing an AWD dyno to the twin cities? Or is there one here already?

There is on already in the town and there is another suppose to be here if not already here. Everyone is welcome to come and spectate or if you have a AWD vechicle, like a Subaru, Evo, Porches or what ever can get a base pull if there is room and time avaiable, if there is enough interest I'm sure they can make it a two day event. But for tuning it for the Utec users only.

Hope that clears things up a little.

UPDATE:

Hello all:

Well we finally have a dyno in the area (here in St. Paul) and I have talked to RSR and Jorge (Riftswrx)to set this up. We will need four aditional people to fill the five slots slated for that day. So for all you UTEC people here is your opportunity to have a qualified person tune your car.

Well I went to talk to RSR last night and I did get the pricing for the dyno time. unfortunately I was aiming for a price point of 300 per person and that will not happen. RSR wants $1000.00 for the day (10 hours). So here is the breakdown of the cost.

Jorge 75/hour @ 2 hours
RSR 100/hour @ 2 hours
_______________________
350.00 per session

Now there will be an opportunity to lower the cost through the people who will want to do some base pulls just to get a number. Unfortunately I will not know how many of these people we will have till we get closer to the event. The cost for base pulls will be as follows:

50.00 for two base pulls to be done on a first come first served list

Now if we get 5 people to do base pulls this will drop the cost for your tuning sessions by 50.00 dollars each. I just want to be up front with everyone. I do not like doing these types of deals but I need the tuning. I will be open with everyone on the costs as I am not gaining anything an will pay the same that everyone else will pay.

I will be requiring a deposit to hold your spot on the list as I need firm comitments from people so this can be done. I would request a 50.00 payment to hold your place on the list.
