Where exactly is this at? I tried mapquest but got an invalid address and their website has a different address all together. I'd really appreciate it if someone could give me directions from Twin Cities, from 94 on. And an estimate of how long it takes from say south Minneapolis.

Finally, what type of course can be expected? I've only been to Valleyfair and Midway early this year. Will it be completely different from either of those two?

You have obviously never been to Stillwater Prison :D :D

Go up 94 and cross over to HWY 10 on 24 (see signs for Clear Lake)

Go west on HWY 10 til you see the prison on the left, the Highway Safety center will be on the right (this is B4 St Cloud)

It takes me just over an hour from St Louis Park (by Knollwood Mall).
The course will be faster than Midway but slower than Valleyfair, it depends if we'll be using the perimeter roads (I hope so), if so then expect a minute plus course with speeds between Midway & Valleyfair.

Derrick,

You take 94W and take the Clear Water exit and turn right.
Turn left on highway 13 and it will be about 5-8 miles on
the right hand side of 13 across from the prison.

As for the site it is like a little mini road course. I have never
been to event there that was slower then Valley Fair, but then
again I have never been to a MAC event at the site.

A couple clairifications:

The event is across hwy 10 from Saint Cloud State Prison - not Stillwater SP.
The exit off of 94 west is Clearwater - not Clear Lake.
The road that bridges between 94 and 10 is called Hwy 24.
There is a small brown sign for the site a short distance before the turn. As I recall, if you look left for the prison walls, you will see them and then immediatly on the right side is the sign. About 1 block later is the turn.

Where the heck did this come from? Stillwater Prison is in Oak Park Heights, a half a state away from Saint Cloud.

Landmark for the MN Hwy Safety Center. There is a rest area on the right side (going toward St Cloud). The safety center is about 1/2 mile beyond.

I thought Stillwater prison was in Stillwater??!! Actually I grew up around there and it was or still is on the border of Bayport and Stillwater. I wish I could help on directions but last time I was going there I had a cop car follow me 3/4 of the way. And I though; Dirty *******, on the way to an event I always drive the speed LM and he just kept on following. Turned out he was going to run with us that day and he ribbed me plenty later in the day. I guess you never know who's really in the car next to you. Something to consider next time road rage happens.

Anyone interested in caravanning with me, I plan to be there at 7:30 (to help with tech and such), and am picking up a friend in Prescott, WI at 5:30... Should be rolling through the st louis park area around six-6:15 or so... :dancin:

If you're going thru St Louis Park I assume it'll be on 394 --- right?

Get off on Louisiana and there is a Menards on the north frontage road just east of Louisiana, we could meet in the parking lot there.

If anyone else wants to caravan with us we'll stay til ~6:20-6:25 before heading out. Post here if interested so we know to wait.

As far as BK vs, Menards, It doesn't matter to me. Menards has a bigger lot, and won't be open at the time, giving us some open space (Gerg like open space)

I'm in an86 RX-7, Brave Blue, with 742 emblazoned right on the side. I'll lead until we get to the Menards where we're picking up the rest of the crew.

CHEAP GAS ALERT: For all who are going, the cheapest gas in MN right now is 1.82 in Big Lake. This is subject to change by the AM, but for those of us runnin' 87octane, it's on the way!

So our itinerary looks something like this:

Appleby's in Apple Valley 5:50 (be early, I won't be stopping long)

Menards in Golden Valley 6:20

MC Donalds in Monticello 6:30ish (as soon as we get there.)

Event Central 7:30
