Assuming we get a typical turnout for the event, registration counts as your work duty. You'll need to arrive at the site by approx. 7:45 AM, to help get Registration set up.

Switch me to registration then.

Arrive 45 minutes later and not have to work the course. Sounds
like a swell deal. Hail to Chief Nikki.

If I am there it will be early only, as I have a wedding to attend in the afternoon. In the past, I have done both this and timing (last MOWOG I attended I worked timing for two sessions instead of the required one. Should have gone out to watch the course instead). This time, I ask that my registration work count for my work session for however many runs I can get in before I need to weigh anchor.

Nuts. Everything happens the same day. This is also Back To The 50s weekend. Looks like the TR4 will have to make that scene on Friday and Sunday. The Minnesota Triumphs tech session Saturday will have to do without me, too.

Praying for good weather for all my activities that weekend...

I can help with tech, as long as I can get more than fifteen minutes for a course walk, like last event. ;)

You should have plenty of time for walking the course. Just make sure to go through registration BEFORE you start teching cars and have Lee tech your car in the paddock. Note: Lee will do this for anyone who's working registration/tech/setup, so make sure to get your car prepped right away when you arrive at the site.

I would be interested in helping with timing.... but I'm a n00b so, you will probably want someone there to show me the ropes.

P.s. i did work the timing station at the novice school, so I'm not totally inexperienced.

Just sign up for timing as your work assignment at registration.

If you also want to help Jon with setup, you'll need to show up at the trailer by 8:00 AM or so........and tell me your name, so I can add it to the list! ;)

So, for that I need to be there by 8am?

Thanks!

Ed,

For T&S setup, you should be there no later than 8 AM. If you get there a little bit earlier, Jon probably wouldn't complain. ;)

The primary/biggest task will be to ensure everyone is properly loaded into the computer, prior to the first runs. Make sure to get your car set up right away, when you get to the event, so Lee can tech it while you're working.

I still need lots of tech inspection volunteers, and someone to tow the trailer to/from the site! FYI - I'd like the trailer onsite NO LATER THAN 7:00 AM, as I want the course set up early for testing.

I'd be happy to help with something, but I just have this tardiness problem.

How about, "reserve alternate probably-gonna-be-late tech worker"?

How about announce-ifier?

cone-wrangler?

Steve, my dad (Paul) can do tech also.

Dwight - does that mean you're going to be towing the trailer? I've been beating the bushes, but everyone I've talked to seems to be going to Back To The '50's.

Steve - you have Phil listed as the numbers guy for Registration. I thought he was going to be at the 50's as well.

OK, one more time:

I have to be at a wedding at 2 on Saturday. This is one of the nine thousand things all happening the same day, June 19. The wedding is non-negotiable with my Social Secretary. I will be registering for Back To The 50s on Thursday, then curbside rodding with the Triumph at the fairgrounds pretty much all day Friday and I hope again Sunday.

Since the Saturday wedding will be at the church across the street from my house, and since Allright Parking is only about 2 miles from my house, the Social Secretary suggested I spend the morning at the MOWOG instead of the fairgrounds. I hope that Steve will allow my Registration work to cover for whatever runs I can get in, as I don't know which way the work sessions will fall. I ran the timing computer for half of the ValleyFair event. That's not happening this time.

The Minnesota Triumphs tech session, the Coulee Classic rally, the Stone Arch car show, and all the other stuff scheduled for June 19 (the most popular date for car events in the Upper Midwest, it seems) will have to get along without me. :-)

Wow, I'm really sorry guys, I set my alarm for 6:30.... but it's now 7:50. I jerked awake with the "oh crap I'm late" feeling about 5 minutes ago. I hope that Matt D gets my message to replace me for registration; I guess I will just pick cones after all.
