question #1: is water spray allowed (i'm talking about spraying water on the intercooler. NOT water injection into the motor).
question #2: i was talking to paul and he said that my car should be in Dmod insted of Emod. the reason being that my motor is actually 1998cc's not a whole 2L, which would be the bump to e-mod.
thanks! :flame:

1: The only mention that I can find of it is that it is prohibited in Prepared. I'd imagnie, however, that some people may not like the idea of water being sprayed on the course before their run.
2: If your car was naturally aspirated, that would be the case, but forced induction cars are considered to have 1.4 times their actual displacement for purposes of classification.

1. Intercooler sprayers should be OK in Street Mod or Modified. Note: there's nothing in the SM or Modified rules to prohibit their use, per se. However, you could be DNFed if you leave water sitting on course. Not a big issue for a properly adjusted system (the stock system on the EVO, for example), but a poorly designed/metered system could dump enough water on course to get you in trouble.
The studies I've seen seem to indicate sprayers don't do much to lower intake temps once you're moving anyway. Their primary benefit is to prevent heat-soak while sitting still. But they do add some bling! :D FWIW - If you're serious about performance, intake water injection will buy you more performance than a water sprayer.
2. Alex is correct - once you take the forced induction multiplier into account, a 2L turbo engine is in EM. (You should know better than to trust Paul for classing assistance! ;) )

In E-Modified, you can do darn near anything.
No wings.
Minimum weight 1500 pounds.
As big an engine as you want to stuff in, as long as it is in essentially the same location as the original.
Maintain the original frame and floorpan for the length of the passenger compartment.

Well I always do pass those classing ??? off at the events...
I forgot about his forced induction, oh well, no ones perfect (as my times lately attest)

In A-Modified, you may have a total of 20 square feet (viewed from above) of wing area divided among as many wings as you like.
