all first timers/newbies please go to the thread and read the one called "Registration Proccedures" as it will give you a good understanding of how we run the registration/tech thing.

7:30am Gates open
8:00am Registration opens with tech shortly there after
9:15am Registration closes
9:30am Tech closes
Both the Registration and Tech closing times hard set so we can get timed runs started as soon as we can.
10:00am Drivers meeting
10:15am Newbie walkthru
10:30 first timed run

We plan on having 2 run groups to keep worker turn over time down.

The more people preregister the more prepared we can be and the sooner we can start as we can setup run groups also the more poeple that volunteer for the jobs that are post on another thread the sooner we can get to timed runs.

The course will be about a minute long and we will be trying to go for at least 5 timed runs. The course will be using some of the outer and inner sections.

Lastly if you want to show up at 7:30 to help it would be greatly appreciated

thanks

Lee, when do we have time to eat, and in my case, make suspension adjustments if we do not have a "rest"? I am all for minimizing turnaround time, but no breaks?! People standing out in the sun (or rain) for 2+ hours letting 40+ cars run sounds like a bit of a stretch... My $0.02 anyway

C,
I hear you but it's the EM's call and with the long changeover times at St Cloud this could mean more quality timed runs...
Everyone should bring their lunch, eat it on course during their work session and if you do have adjustments between sessions maybe run early so you have time to do it after your last run/working or run near the end of the line on the second session...
just a thought...

Due to the long change over times and wanting to get as many runs as possible we will be running 2 run groups. I recommend that everybody bring some kind of bag lunch or so to eat when you can. I've been doing this for awhile as I'm always busy at our events. MAC will be supplying water for workers and anybody else at the event MAC has had this policy for quite some time. With St. Cloud being so large of an area I think having just 2 run groups is the way to go as Paul has said you can bring your lunch out to the work area and eat as you work.

Lee, are you going to have each run group do 2 heats with the work assignments split in half, so half of Group 1 would do Run, Work, Run, Rest and the second half would do Run, Rest, Run, Work, with a similar breakdown for Group 2, as COM does?

Or would it be Run, Work, Run, Work as Christian is thinking?

I was thinking about that but will we have enough workers?

There are 57 pre-registered right now. If we figure on a minimum of 80 at the event that would be 20 workers per group. COM pulls it off with a lot fewer entrants, but they scatter their cone pickers a lot more sparsely than we usually do.

Yeah, we have way too many cone pickers in my opinion. Most just stand around. I would rather just have to work one run group, but work harder (I'm going to pick cones at MOWOG 5) in order to get some time off to watch/eat.
