LaCrosse Autocross School

Dan Hampton, of the LaCrosse Sports Car Club, is arranging an autocross school and asked me to mention it on this list.

When: August 28 and 29. It is a 4 hour school session, being run in three time slots: Saturday, August 28 at 8:00 am; Sunday at 8:00 am; and Sunday at 12:00PM.

Where: LaCrosse Speedway in East Salem, WI

How much: Cost is $80.00 Non-Refundable, paid in advance to Dan Hampton

I will be instructing around 6 to 8 drivers per session. We will work on several common autocross elements including slaloms, sweepers, pin turns, and offset gates. Class is theory and practice, and will not be timed. A small amount of classroom with lots of practice time. While geared more for newer drivers with some basic theory and strategy, more advanced drivers can benefit from this as well.

Dan tells me that the Sunday afternoon session is full, but there are a few spots open on Saturday, and Sunday AM. Call for latest info.

Are you the only instructor?

Yes. While it would be nice to offer several National Champions and all that, this is an $80 school versus a $225 school. :) I ran a school down there a couple of weeks ago very succesfully. I do not ride along on every run like at Evolution. (You were probably wondering how the heck I could jump from car to car so fast!) Every student got a lot of seat time, and they were very happy with how much they learned. Let me know if you want more information, or contact Dan Hampton. Thanks!!
