MOWOG #7 changed to Sunday September 26th

TO: All drivers registered for MOWOG #7, hosted by Minnesota Autosports Club

SUBJECT: Change of Event Date

Due to a scheduling mix-up, MOWOG 7 has been changed from Saturday, September 25th to Sunday, September 26th. The event will still be held at Midway Stadium in Saint Paul, MN. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. MAC will gladly refund or credit online registration fees for anyone who paid but now can't attend.

What are the details of the scheduling mix-up? Did we lose the Midway site for Saturday? I have people coming in from the west coast specifically for this event on Saturday.

As to what happened, the date was originally supposed to be the 26th - that was the date we selected at the beginning of the year, and the date that was communicated to Midway Stadium. At the annual Met Council event scheduling/coordination meeting, the event was moved to the 25th, to avoid a conflict with an LoL Solo2 event in LaCrosse on the 26th. Unfortunately, that change was never communicated to staff at Midway Stadium, so they booked another event on the 25th. The bottom line is that the site is not available on Saturday, September 25th. We either had to cancel the event or change to the 26th.
