Tire Balancing Necessary?

Is it necessary to balance new R-compound auto-x tires? These are dedicated for auto-x and I don't plan on using these on the street or road racing.

Agreed...I don't think I've ever had one balanced.

I have done it both ways. I usually don't. The only time I wished I had was at one Divisional where the finish was in the 80-mph range for my (at the time) GS Subaru. I think I almost lost a filling that last 200ft...

If, you have me mount them, I WILL balance them. Tape weights, or clamp style.
