Just to test the waters.
Hard water that is! You know, ice?
GRM is interested.
Hmmmmm?

By GRM do you mean the magazine? Are you asking us what we think about doing an ice event? I think it would be fun and I know most would dig it (come January with no racing albet GT-3), but any site possibilities? Anybody have a farm with a lake on it?

Driving on water isn't normal. Obviously I'm not from Minnesota...

Yes it is Grassroots Motorsports magazine.

And the best venue is to 'piggy back' with the IIRA.

Got to their web-site at; www.angelfire.com/mn/icerace/index.html

You will get their schedule on the first page.
By the way, the also need race workers.
You can talk to Mark Utecht, Jay Luehman, Jerry Winker, all former club members about it.

Ice racing is 'cool'!

I'd be game to try the ice again. I believe there's a Quattro club up there that put on a couple of events on Prior Lake two years ago. I only made it to one, but it was a good time.

I'm curious about the GRM tie-in. Are they looking for a winter story or something?

I think it would be great! When you mention Ice Racing, you mean piggy back on their event as in hold the AX at the same time/site as them? It would be fun, but I sold my Audi Turbo Quattro Wagon! Can I run a Durango? ;)

Are you talking to Per or Tim at GRM? There are already ice AX events scheduled in Wisconsin for this winter. I would need to find the link if you want to know more. Anyway, make it happen and I'll show up!

Competition rules set forth by the International Ice Racing Association (IIRA) can be found at http://www.angelfire.com/mn/icerace/carclasses.html

My favorite rule...
21. No profanity or vulgarities may be displayed on race cars :p
