In the spirit of what politics [should be] is all about, serving and sacrifice, rather than waiting for a hand out, and expecting someone else to do for 'us' what we could be doing for ourselves.
There are people who have done many different 'jobs' for the sport, without complaint. And we all should be grateful and thank them for their efforts.
At this time there are positions open, even if currently held by someone, that you could step up the the starting line and be a part of.
Positions open are; rules chair for the met council, numbers 'czar' and even an open spot on the MAC board.
And I would like to divide up the met council's secretary treasurer's job.
Somebody want to be secretary?
The efforts to be part of this are quite minimal. Maybe one meeting a month, a report here and there. After all, it's about the sport we all love. What about some good stories to publish in our newsletter? And by the way making some fine friends along the way.
Just remember, that without the efforts of those who serve, this sport wouln't have even started much less survived all these years.
Just think for a moment, if our forefather's had said, we'll never throw off the yoke of bondage to a imperialist king? Where would the world be today?
Humbly, DCM
