Anybody going to Winona this weekend for their two day autocross. I'm still on the bubble as to wether or not I'm going but, it's a nice site, they run the the tech colleges truck driving course. First day is a fun, no points, write your times down from the display, kind of day and the second day is a normal autocross with points/times taken, etc.
If you need some more seat time, it's a good place to get some.

Me too. Hoping for two trouble-free events in a row (for the first time this season:rolleyes: ).

I'll be down there Sat. I'll be running my camry, and possibly an S4 or Z3. Then I'll be back up here for the PCA/Com race the next day :)

I'm doing Winona on Sat to get ready for Sunday at DCTC (still getting used to the road course type AX...). See some of you down there...
Jason, if you go on Sat I'll trade a run with you Sprite/Honda if you're interested...

Well my hopes to go reside with one last babysitter so we'll see what happens if I make it I'll gladly trade a run with you Paul. :D
I vote for a on site nanny service, a little pen area for the kids while you run and work. Little something with a view of the course but no chance of them getting out.

Well I didn make it Saturday but, Sunday was fun. I finally drove the car a good bit closer to the way it should be driven thanks for the inadvertant advice you were giving on how to drive the Bahr's Neon, Pat. Had I asked I know you would of told me the same. Thanks Now if I only would of started driving like that during the first set of runs I maybe could of whittled my time down to a 52 or so. I felt plenty left out there on that 53.056.

My pleasure...glad you overheard something that was worthwhile! Don't be afraid to ask other drivers for advice...you'll find most are willing to let their secrets go. Nice driving, and a fun event!

I was gonna ask but, when I overheard and it made perfect sense I didn't need to anymore. I just wish I would of driven a bit more like that in the first heat, I would of likely brought my times down more yet, as I was whacking them down pretty good in the second heat.
You did some fine driving too Pat, nearly overall(not sure if Nate hit any cones) and certainly PAX FTD.

Not if your co-driving with Paul
Was the second day as fun as the first? I have always wondered what the course would be like if it was run the other way. But the first day was a blast for sure :)

Not WHAT if you're driving with Paul?
Tell what makes you faster? I passed on what I learned before your next set of runs, just made you beg for it first

After watching your in car video the course didn't change much just a few tweaks and that box with a cone in the middle thing at the end turned into a offset gates, think gate way to the right, gate way to the left, finish gate way back to the right, all in a slightly longer area than the old box with a cone in it.
It was a fun course Pat ran like a 52 maybe a 51, I'm pretty sure Nate had a 51 and half in that supercharged vette with slicks. I ended up with a 53.056 and NO Cones for the day so I was happy although I know I left time out there. I was also puking out white, light grayish smoke for at least the last 4 runs, we got 6 in and were done and gone by 4pm. I'm not sure what the deal is but that car apparently doesn't like autocrossing cause I keep breaking stuff. I'm going for reliability next year.
I was talking to them about going up that section after the skipad a litte bit and then back out of it and down to the big tree. Going backwards would work too, but the speeds would be way to excessive out of the skippad but if you put the light further up in it would work, plenty of slowdown room, then.

You won't see it in the results, because I agreed to take out the results from the second car I drove. (Dan's VW) My best time in his car was a 51.0 something. I indexed better in Dan's FSP car than I did in my STS car. (Even though it was a beast to drive...man I was panting everytime I finished a run!) STS time was 52.011.
Jason, you drove fantastic. I saw the smoke and was hoping it was OK. You were third fastest raw, and 9th on index. Nice job!
