I thought I'd post this here since more events are now available, the info was buried in a "for sale" thread. 10 dates and 13 different Events/locations. Not all are listed on the MAC calendar.

9/11 Iowa (DMVR Greyhound Park)

9/18 Wisconsin (WAI at Miller Park)

9/25
Iowa (Iowa Region Greyhound Park)
LaCrosse (LACSCCA Lacrosse)

10/1 VF SCCA

10/2 VF MAC

10/8 Winona (LACSCCA)
10/9
Winona (LACSCCA)
Iowa (Iowa Region Greyhound Park)
Wisconsin (WAI at Miller Park)

10/23 Iowa (Iowa Region Greyhound Park)

10/30 Iowa (DMVR Saylorville)

11/6 Iowa (DMVR Saylorville)

If you haven't tried an Iowa course yet you should and both the 9/11 and 9/25 events at the greyhound track would be good tuneups for Valleyfair, concrete & larger courses. Especially the 11th as Adam Ansorge is involved with it.

Dayum...I've had it stuck in my head that, other than VF, the year is more-or-less over after Nats. But there's plenty of time to kill at least another set of tires after Nationals!

dang I hear ya Neal. I could burn through these stock foo-foo tires yet this season. But then again I need money to do the heart transplant on the GTI and I would like roll bars on my Miata too.......

You can make fun of us Iowegians, BUT....there aren't too many regions north of the florida border that start earlier or run longer with the solo2 season. The busy time is just beginning.

Bump

Still three more events coming up plus the Washburn AX Academy at Lacrosse Speedway on 10/23 --- several opening left for that (half day, $80).
I'll be at the class then at least one of the Saylorville events...

10/23 Iowa (Iowa Region Greyhound Park)

10/30 Iowa (DMVR Saylorville)

11/6 Iowa (DMVR Saylorville)

Paul,

Where can I get more information about the Washburn Academy? I went to the scclac.org site and there's no listing of it for this year. Thanks.

PM Pat, he's not doing the registration but can steer you to the guy that is. There are AM & PM sessions, if you do AM you'll have to stay over the night before. I am doing the afternoon session (I think only one more spot is open) and will be enjoying the HWY 61 drive down in the AM...

This is a half day school combining on track and "class" sessions. It is NOT Evolution, and I don't pretend it is. Evo serves a lot of customers very well, but I wanted to do a lower cost type of school that covers a little more about theory and course analysis. I try to give you a "thought process" that you can apply to any course, rather than just tell you how you did in this corner or that.

We run only 8 students per class. There are no ride along instructors, other than myself when I can get into your car. Most driving is done solo with my observations and critique done from outside. This works because the main emphasis is not what exactly your doing at each moment in the car...that's what Evo is for. We are working mainly on lines, braking and throttle point strategies to help you look at any course and come up with an effective plan on how to drive it.

I've done these a couple times, and plan on doing more based on feedback from my students. Dan can furnish you with references from past students if you like, but every person who has gone through it has told me that they are more than satisfied and very happy based on what it cost. ($80.00)

PM me if you have more questions. I am planning on doing something in the TC area, but it will not be the same and will probably not include driving sessions due to the excessive site costs. I will float a trial baloon on this in the near future to guage interest.

Let me know if you have any questions...thanks!!

Oh... just so we are clear:

This is not a club activity. This is a private venture, which is a "for profit" deal. It will run under SCCLAC sanction due to insurance reasons. Their club is properly compensated for this. I am trying to keep up with my daughters college bills and this is a way I can earn a little income doing something I'm familiar with. Just wanted to make sure I was up front about that. Thanks!
