Ok, the goofy cynic in me is doing this, not the kind hearted autocrosser :D
Here's the deal: There are plenty of guys in this club that wear open faced helmets. at MULTIPULE event's i have noticed some highly funny expressions on their faces.
So the contest is: The photographer who gets the best shot of an overly-focused, awkwardly-faced autocrosser on saturday gets a free lunch on sunday. anything you want from culvers.
Rules: Snap away, don't break any MAC/Site rules in the process, the photo must be clear enough that it's easy to tell who it is. Saturday night after the autocross, post the pictures in this thread. before i go to sleep saturday night, i'll judge the winner and announce it at the driver's meeting. and i'll probably print out a copy to show every one.
Let the fun Begin!

I have not yet had a chance to look at the 400+ pix I took during the last heat on Saturday. Maybe I can get to that tonight.
I don't expect to find anything better than the "tongue shot" of Steve M. I may be able to pile on with a four-burst of Steve's spin in Betty Rumble, though.
My Miata has no name yet. In its current trim, it has neither the grace nor the violence of its predecessor, but it's a metric ton of fun. Hey, wait a minute. A metric ton is a megagram. Symbol for that is Mg. The Miata is the resurrection of the classic sports car, like the MG. OK, temporary name is "Megagram".
"Was that out loud?" - Cliff Claven.
Well, at least I'm not the MACer who *looks* like Cliff Claven...

I took a bunch of pictures from out by station 4 on Saturday but no good facial expressions.
In my book it's a pretty close tie between the evil looking one of Phil and the tongue action of Steve M in Holden's car. Phil looks like one of the villans from an Austin Power's movie and Steve looks......well.....like he's enjoying himself a little too much! :D

Evil? I had the two pictures of me cataloged as "grinfaced" and "grimfaced".
I figured they were silly and serious respectively. The silly one is not silly enough to compete with Steve, IMHO! As far as the other one, I don't think grim determination is nearly as funny as silly is.
Let's see some other people and let Shane have something to decide.

You'll also find that if you throw it on a scale, it weighs remarkably close to a metric ton.

Well, yeah. Why do you think I came up with the line "but it's a metric ton of fun" that started this train of thought? ;)
Some of the numbers I have seen show 2210 pounds for the original car and maybe 2300 for the 1994. A tonne (catch that, Paul?) is about 2205 pounds.

I've heard as little as 2150 for a '90-'91 'base' model. Considering I have a '91 'base', maybe I should weigh it to find out.

My '94 weighed in at 2230, including the hardtop and AC.
