Two-day event this weekend at Winona Tech. It's a great small road course. About 40-50 seconds long on average.
This isn't the eact event flyer, but the information still applies. All the times and directions are correct:

For those of you that haven't seen Winona, here's some video shot of Paul running his Sprite down there: http://www.crossroadvideos.com/Player.aspx?fileid=5CD6C9AE-EA49-45D6-B185-AA12D4E4B186&p=0
It's a great venue with tons of traction. We always get small groups so 6 runs is minimum. We have run as many as 9 here before, so you'll get your moneys worth ;)
Hope to see some of you there!

Registeration/tech start at 9am. Get there that early and you'll get 5-8 course walks. We also do parade laps, so you get a preview of the course in your car ;). Drivers meeting is around 11:15 and we're running by noon. Be there a little before 10am and you'll be fine.
I'm driving down Sat night and staying in a hotel to be able to sleep in and be ready on Sunday. However I know a few people are staying the whole weekend down there to run both days.

Sat is a test/tune, Sun is the AX so if you only go one day Sunday would be the ticket. Get there by 9:00 or so like Mike said. It's $35 per day.
It's at the Southeast Technical Minnesota State College road course, they teach OTR there.

Dont say it like that!!! Both days are autocrosses. They just don't track times the first day. You just have to write them down like Paul and I do :)

Chris and I are going in his Miata on Sunday. For some reason, I like this venue. It has a unique feel about it. Maybe its the bluffs.

Unfortunately, I'm going to pass on this event. I'm out of tires, money & energy for the year.... :(

I am hoping to be there Sunday. Like Adam, I am also strangely fond of the Winona site!
I don't know if I'll bring sticky tires or not. I am a lazy man.

Can you show up at this event and run having not registered like some autocrosses when there is room or did you have to register. How far is this from the Cities(drive time).

Are you referring to the Winona event in this thread (already over) or the Iowa event at Waterloo? Answer is for Waterloo. See thread

Show up by 9:30-9:45, no pre-reg needed. They are more casual about starting, you will probably only get four timed runs, it makes sense to trade drives & run two cars if you can fof more seat time.
3.5 hours from south metro, be sure you caravan with someone or get GOOD directions (PM me if you need them).
Have a good time, I'd go but I'm doing car stuff in Lacrosse instead...
