These is another choice for this Sunday. Fox Valley Sports Car Club is holding an event at Golden Sands speedway in Plover, WI. See:

www.fvscc.com

I've never been there, although I understand the infield to be mostly paved. I may go just because I'm interested.

So I am guessing that the Fox River flows from Lake Winnebago into Green Bay. You caught me flat-footed on this one since the Fox Valley with which I am familiar is an area west of Chicago. My first assumption was that Fox Valley Sports Car Club was an Illinois outfit and that Plover WI was in southern Wisconsin. Now I see that Fox Valley Sports Car Club is in Appleton and Plover is closer to your home in Wausau.

OK, you travelling-to-autocross types. This is your chance to reverse Pat's commute to MAC events. Meg has no insurance, so I'll be going to Cadillac Man's Halloween party instead.

Mpls to Plover = 225 miles 3 H 54 m

Six of one, half dozen of the other...

I thought somebody was done for the seasons... :D

If Andy and Paul are up for it, I'm game. Andy's my ride, so it's his call. The MR2 is put away for the winter :(

Pat,
Define "May go", if you do go for sure there may be a couple of Washburn Academy graduates plus Andy as well. Otherwise it'll be Iowa...

When will you know for sure if you're going?

I just sent a message to them saying I would go. I *was* done, but he asked for some help running the thing. They are a small club that doesn't run amny autocrosses. I'll be there. Don't know what it will be like though.

Thanks for the heads up, they have 14 signed up so far on MAE, but that doesn't include you :)

Not sure how it'll shake out but I'll be at one or the other

I'm up for either event. Not much difference. About same distance. About same weather chances. Difference would be where we meet Sunday morning. Whatever we decide, i'll be waking up early and racing on street tires for the first time in quite a while! Go Azenis!

I'm not working a corner when you drive that Miata on street tires in the wet

I'll be driving one handed in the Sprite (umbrella in other hand).

Sorry Darryl, but the most optimistic you can be is 40% change of not getting wet. They don't rate the chances of cloudless days. It could be totally overcast, but just not raining. :p

The FVSCC is a nice bunch of guys expect lots of runs (last event I went to had 9 timed runs plus buck runs). This is pretty close to my parent's house in Mosinee, too bad i'm teaching HS for a semester in Sebeka MN (try googleing that!)

Not many people are like MAC and register in advance. You can still just show up at some autocrosses. ;)

You rather we be on the over heat-cycled R's in the rain? :o

Sound like Plover for us! :D

Plover it is! (check your PMs)

And --- I don't care what tires you guys run, I'm still not shagging your cones if it's wet: been there, done that.

What does STS bump into now that there is STS2? Do they still go into G-Stock, or do they bump to STS2 first?

Just wondering if I'll be running against Pat tomorrow :D
