Well, give us a full report.
I spent the morning under the dash of the Suburban. I have the heater motor out now. I think the bearings are shot. A new one should be at the parts store in about an hour and I can try to put the truck back together. Had to take out a metal box with a million wires on it. Some kind of computer, I guess. We will see if the truck still runs when I put it back together.

Good luck getting the 'burban back together.
Key points I came away with:
-Relatively inexpensive way to get driving education and lots of lap time on decent tracks. ~$300 for a whole weekend. Run wha'cha brung.
-4 different levels of driver instruction.
-After that, lots of classing categories for competition. (They actually don't put a stock '03 evo with an '04 or '05...)
-Blackhawk farms, mid america, putnam park are on the roster.
Their website that you posted gives pretty much all of the important info.
As what Ivan said plus
The 4 levels of HPDE (High performance Driver Education) with different levels of passing. You start out in level 1 with an instructor and progress to the higher levels. After you get to level 4 you can do TT(time trials) which is done with other cars on the track but isn't wheel to wheel.
They also plan on being at BIR next year.

btw: Phil make sure you check the air flow thru the vents before you finish the wiring of the motor into the harness. If you have the 2 wires backwards you will have no heat with a motor that's sucking instead of blowing :(

Amazingly enough, I didn't have any trouble remembering that the black wire was ground.
Everything went back together. It was clear that I was not the first meatball surgeon in there. The last guy left a trail. I drove the truck and it seems I didn't wreck the computer. Sure is nice having a blower that works all the time instead of when it feels like it. Fingers crossed that this situation persists. ;)

I'm really excited to give this NASA action a shot. It seems like really cool thing, and very cost effective. i do wonder though if camping at the track is allowed. That would be a huge money saver for a weekend.

I would expect so. I know that MAM is well set up for camping as I've done while crewing for a spec miata driver. Road America also has camping facilities.
May have to sign up for an event next summer. Want to let my civic loose on some full throttle runs. Maybe even take my next project out.

I would not do Road America in your Sprite without a cage. They may require you to have a bar at the minimum. The good news is that your car could probably do The Kink wide open.

I'd take the WRX on a few runs if I could get the right rubber and have my fiancee drive a backup car to take all the stuff in and we could camp. seems like a good weekend vacation.

Don't show up at RA without taking care of your brake fluid and bringing extra pads and rotors.

I am taking the Mustang out to MAM and RA, aluminum seats, rollbar, and camping gear.

So should I take the Miata instead? Both cars have a bar, the Sprites is more substantial --- just the opposite of the cars!

AMEN
Chris and a friend went last fall. They installed a new set of pads in the Z06 at the begining of the day and put in a new set before going home. I think he said he hit 140mph+ in 3 spots on the course.

I did apx 125 race miles (at 7/10 of my max on RA) last year, and used up about a 1/3 of my Hawk HPS pads with some ghetto brake ducting on my nose heavy VW.
I haven't decided what HPDE events I will attend, it all depends on the budget at the time and the tow vechile situation. I do know that i am 98% sure I will be at the SCCA-LOL event at BIR during Memorial day weekend and maybe a lapping day w/ the Vette club.

I think I like "the sweetest sports car I ALMOST got a ride in" better...
