FYI

It looks like they're still short of sites & Eventmasters. If you can help, please let Breon know.

Subject: 2006 Land O' Lakes RallyCross Championship Schedule

Here is the first stab at the 2006 RallyCross Schedule. Keep in
mind, these are just dates and names until a venue and EventMaster
are found.

As of right now, there are no solid events. I know that Jim Cox is
looking into Corcoran for June. If you know of a place where we can
play or if you're willing to help put an event together, please let
us know…especially, if we want to have an even in March.

Date - Event Name - (Venue/EM)
3/12/2006 Luck O' the Irish RallyCross (TBD/TBD)
4/9/2006 Tax Brake RallyCross (TBD/TBD)
5/14/2006 Spring Fever RallyCross (TBD/TBD)
6/18/2006 June Bug RallyCross (TBD/TBD)
7/9/2006 Dog Daze of Summer RallyCross (TBD/TBD)

"It looks like they're still short of sites & Eventmasters. If you can help, please let Breon know."

That pretty much sums it up. We're basically down to one or two venues, and one is only available once or twice a year (the rest of the time it's set up as an MX course). The other has been run about as much as we can without some maintenance, and it's very rough.

Eventmasters are scarce too, but sites are the real limiting factor here.

Anybody know of a farmer/landowner in lets say 1.5 hours drive from the twin cities that has a nice open area that is relatively flat? Dirt or gravel or grass, doesn't matter. Fields that have been planted recently with corn are usually too rough to use, (idle) soybean fields seem to work well. Space requirements are similar to an autocross.
