Audi Ice Event 2/12 results

I sorted and cleaned up the results a bit. The course got faster in the last set of runs as the snow piles got scattered onto the course. However the course disintegration left way too many opportunities for timesaving shortcuts. I think most drivers did their best not to take the obvious shortcuts, but the times are still a little unreliable. Unless it snows big in the next couple of days, I think the next event will feature a more defined course with little opportunity to "cheat".

Craig silver must have really been hustling that a4 to get 9 seconds faster than the next s4. I thought at first it must have been on studs looking at the results.

Fun event. However I think times were a little inconsistend due to the abiltiy to cheat(I don't think anyone did) and some turns were completely gone by the end so you kind of had to guess where the turn was suppost to be. Still very fun event. Who is going this Sunday I know I am.

I know one fine competitor I rode along with was... how shall I say, taking advantage of significantly more traction than the course actually provided. I'm sure there were additional reasons why he was so much faster than me, though, so I won't name names. :lol:

And Salah (who was not the individual mentioned above), thanks for setting my expectations for myself unreasonably high :lol: Guy is the first person onto the oval and immediately busts out some absolutely gorgeous full corner drifts, with no warm-up lap or anything :lol:

Made it look so easy that I, two cars after him, tried to emulate him and ended with a score of 2 full 360s and a driving tour of every out-of-bounds snow bank in the area.
