Their forums seem to be broken- I can't register as a new user and post anything. I tried to e-mail the addresses listed on the site under contact info, but they all got returned. I'm brand new on the autosports scene so I don't really know what's going on with them- looks like there was some sort of shake down last year so I don't know if they are even going to be up again this year?

AARRF has been dead for over a year now...

oh ok, good to know. I was talking to someone on another forum who said they were staff at AARRF and sounded like something was going on for the upcoming season. But I haven't heard from him in a while though, so it must all have just gone and fizzled.

The aarrf website & forum are still operational (although not very active), but I haven't anything about events for 2006. http://www.aarrf.com/

Most everyone from AARRF is now on this site: http://www.findtheline.com/

Damian (who runs the site) puts on some great events and posts info about other events all over the Midwest.

disagreement with some of the site managers.
And we almost lost St Cloud as a result of that.

So they were banned from the Met. council. :flame:

And without a place to 'play' went into limbo.

Will they rise again?

I think so, they just need to dot their 'i's and cross their 'T's.

There is most certainly a place for lapping and or solo I or track days.

Perhaps LOL/SCCA should fill this need, as they should?
Then you would have a organization with the 'clout' to get sites.

Couldn't agree with you more but, seems like SCCA want's more than the locals can give for a track. Would be nice to see the club trials or HPDE events run under the SCCA flag it would give them a good position here locally.

For track days (touring, time trials, and racing) check out NASA

NASA will be at Brainerd on Memorial Day W/E. It's a combined event with Vintage Races, a LOL Non-SCCA event and NASA. You'll still get the seat time plus have a lot of fun stuff to look at as well when you're not in your car. Free camping at the track too.
