Sunday's Autox - Check Here for Late News

Right now, it looks like Sunday's autox is still a go. It's more likely we're going to have it than not. But in marginal weather like this, it's not a 100% done deal until we decide we're going to send the first car out on a timed run. I wish I could be more encouraging; but that's exactly what happened last year on the day of the novice school. Everyone showed up. We shuffled around and talked it over for an hour or two, and then decided to call it off. Of course, conditions were worse then.

I'm going to drive over to Midway and check out the lot in the next hour or so. Please recheck this message board for any late news on the event. We'll put it up here first.

Good News! Midway is looking good.

I checked the lot at Midway at 3 PM. 99% of the lot is clear and bone dry. It's been sunny most of the day here; so that has helped. No moisture is predicted for tonight, so the lot should be fine for tomorrow's autox. The only downside appears to be that it's not going to be very warm. However, the forecast calls for only about 50% cloud cover. So there should be some sun. Looks like we're on for tomorrow.
