I have been looking for the MAC events to be posted on Myautoevents.com. I haven't seen them up there yet and I am wondering if MAC has chosen some other way to sign up for events.

I'm sure Steve G. will post all of the events soon, but like Randy said, they won't open for registration until 30 day before the event... I think the novice school opens for registration about 45 days before...

Events won't be available for registration until 30 days in advance.

Normally, they would all be listed on MAE by now. However, we're waiting for some MAE payment system upgrades to be completed - prior to creating our event listings. All the events should be listed by the end of March.

Sounds good. I am looking forward to registering for the April 21-22 and thought it was sort of odd they the schedule hadn't posted to Myautoevents.com yet.

Good to find this post. I am also looking to enter the novice school and had the same question.

Digging my way through all the info I need for my first year in AutoX. Any stickies around regarding this? I am slowly gleaning info on the search, but it is taking a bit :)

Thanks for giving a newb a break!

Thanks! While I am no newbie to the automotive world, this is the first year I have been able timewise to get into this, so every bit of help is greatly appreciated! I had been digging around on SCCA, but hadnt come across that yet.

Does anyone know if the novice school is for members only?
Thanks!

I do not believe that membership is required.

It wasn't required last year. You might be thinking of the TnT events which are members only. It doesn't make much sense to have the Novice School be for members, since it's aimed at people dipping their toe in the AutoX waters to see if they even like it. Of course, we could just bump the price up to $80 and throw in a "free" membership for the year. But that might be a bit steep for some people to justify.

It would also shoot ourselves in the foot for the way we pay our insurance bill. The board is aware of these implications, and it is quite unlikely that membership will be required for the novice school in the foreseeable future.

But doing a good job none the less...

MAE is doing some changes that MAC is helping test, because of that the registration will open a bit later (and MAC gets benefits from MAE for helping).

I'm sure the events will open at least 48 hours before they start.
:D
JK!!!

I'm also sure Steve will post a big note on this forum when the events open...

OK folks, we're just about ready to go. MAE has actually been ready for a while, but I had a couple details to clear up before going forward. I just listed the April Novice School (http://www.myautoevents.com/pls/mae/frmEventDetail.Show?psevent_id=7149)on MAE, and online registration should be open by this Saturday.
