The MN F body club is holding a PDE at MAM on June 16th-17th at MAM. They are a SAFE and FUN club to run with and welcome all makes. My first PDE was with this embracing club so I thought I'd share for those who may have never done this. Get ready to feel appreciated instead of intimidated.

A few of us were at MAM on Saturday.
It was a very smooth surface with minimal possibility for off track damage.
It also has some very technical corners with less then obvious "lines" but tons of fun all around.

8) How long did it take to get there and back? One of our rotary club members runs http://www.findtheline.com/ and I've always wanted to go and try it out, I just don't trust the car to drive waaaay out there, race, then drive back. :)

It took 5 hours or so from Lakeville with 2 stops.
It was "FindtheLine" that we were out
there with, and it was great. About 55 cars
of all performance levels and driving skill.
Next time we're staying the extra night
'cause it was a longggg drive home.:0nonono:

Five hours doesn't sound too bad. What did it end up costing for the day?.... and how much do you think it would cost to tow my car back if it explodes?

On fridays they have a deal where you can go all day from 9am to 7pm (if you wanted to go that long) for $110. I doubt there are any instructors though. Thats about as cheap as it gets. you can check their site for more details.

This last weekend was $150 for Sat or Sun, or $280 for both. Slammin' deal if you ask me. The track is amazing, but the paddock area could use some work. It was a long, boring drive, but I'd do it again in a heartbeat. If you can find a 2-day event, hop on it.

p.s. notice the position of the 'vette in relation to that of the gray M3 in the pic above... oh snap!

Forgot to mention...
SUPER-technical course. Decreasing radius turns, high-speed sweepers, the whole bit.

I'll be driving at MAM this weekend (April 13-15) with the local Audi club. Check out: http://www.glacierlakesqclub.org/ I think they still have room.
They run a great program with excellent classroom and in-car instruction, and I'm not just saying that because I'm an instructor for them! ;o)
