The 2007 SCCS autocross schedule has been finalized. The schedule is as follows at the Sioux Empire Fairgrounds:

1. 5/13/2007

2. 6/10/2007

3. 6/16/2007 ** Corvette Club / SCCS joint event / non points event for SCCS

4. 7/15/2007

5. 8/4/2007 - double points day event

6. 8/5/2007 - double points day event

7. 8/26/2007

8. 9/16/2007

9. 10/7/2007

The site is supposedly huge. I am going to the first event and will report back what I find. I recently realized that their events are only 2.5 hours from my house which isn't much further than the other local events for me so I figured I'd give it a shot. They don't have start times listed, so I shot someone an email. I'll list that info when it comes.

Found the start times: 10 am registration, runs begin at noon.

WOW, more events to choose from- While that is forever away from me, I'd bet there will be others who may want to give them a shot and see how it goes.

With the turbo on your 914 the drive would be nice and short :evil:

I saw that lot a few years ago right after it was repaved. Russ Wiles invited us to his house for barbeque after an event and he stopped on the way to show it to us, said they'd be running on it soon. IIRC, it's about 3/4 Miller Park size with similar scattered light poles that could easily be worked around. Seem to recall it had a little elevation for drainage built into it. Looked like an awesome lot. Asphalt.

Unless things have changed that is a pretty small but dedicated group. Not lots of organization but they make up for it in hospitality and lots of seat time and some awesome drivers.

BTW, for the BMW guys, Russ is the man.

August 4th and 5th is the same weekend as the mid div in Topeka... SD is very tempting... Neal / Katie?

Hmm, 10 miles closer than Milwaukee, so not much gain there for me. I guess it depends on the quality of the site, and how many runs you get...
