Now's your chance to show off the results of those bullet-cams and fancy video gear! We have a screen available at the MAC & Met Council Awards Party this Saturday, and plan to show videos throughout the evening.

Videos must be provided in MP3 or similar computer format, and may be supplied via any of the following methods:
1. email to: xprepared@msn.com
2. bring a USB drive to the party & transfer to my laptop.
3. bring a CD/DVD to the party.

I will have a laptop at the party for playing videos. However, we still need someone to bring an LCD projector we can borrow. Please PM me as soon as possible, if you can provide a projector.

Thanks!

-Steve Garnjobst

Come join us for the 2007 MAC and Met Council Awards Party on Saturday, January 5th at Old Chicago in Apple Valley. There will be a $5/person cover charge at the door.

Trophies will be presented for the 2007 MOWOG Series and 2007 Met Council Series.

Food and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided at no additional charge. Alcoholic beverages will be available at a cash bar.

The doors will open at 6:00 PM, with awards beginning around 7:30 - 8:00 PM. For those who haven't attended this event before, the dress code is casual, the discussions are lively, and we expect approximately 100 of your closest autocross buddies.

I have a few I can send your way with varied view-points. I need to do a little editing first, so look for them Thursday/Friday. Any e-mail size limit?

I may be able to secure a projector if we can't fand anything else....let me know,

I'm sure there is one, but I haven't found it yet. However, for anything over 20MB or so, it will likely be a lot easier just to bring a USB memory stick, SD card, or DVD to the party.

We now have a projector lined up.

I was going to bring along my electronic picture frame, and let the pictures from Nationals slideshow through. It had an AV output too.

Are .mov (Quicktime) files acceptable?

That would be a nice addition. 8)

how about other video options like best car chase videos (can someone bring these or would a youtube setup work fine?) or the BMW short movie series (I think I can bring those- I'll check tonight). I get bored watching video of autocross very quickly.
ESPN had an Thrills & Spills annual show (a few years ago when I had cable)

Autocross driving: awesome!
Autocross passenger: I'm jealous, I want to drive and could do it better, you schlep
Watching live autocross: When is it my turn? When is it my turn? Didn't that car already get 5 runs- dammit, I can't wait!
Watching video autocross: uh, how long is winter anyway

I have the 2007 WRC season in easily digestible 24min chunks. And the 2007 BTCC season, too, but I don't know how broad the appeal is with that. And all of the most recent Top Gears, of course.

Why, oh why, is Mike Wagner not part of our crowd ? He apparently has three of his simulators sitting idle in his basement. Now that'd be an uebercool toy to lug out to the party :rockon

I guarantee there will be an eclectic mix of car-related videos. The clips I currently have range from laps at the 'Ring to bizarre Japanese car commercials - and everything in between. Feel free to bring anything interesting.
