The KC Mid Div is coming up!
I have a 2 room suite reserved at the Drury Inn across the road from Arrowhead Stadium. It has two double beds and a sofa sleeper. There should be room for an additional body (or couple) in addition to the Bienert/Lowe team.
Any takers?

$113/night plus their 16% tax. The Drury's filling up. The other hotels in the immediate area are...not quite as nice. You two should go. It's an awesome site w/real sloping elevation changes.

Yeah!! Downhill, off-camber, high-speed turns are a fantastic opportunity to practice your pavement graffiti art skills.
My artistic rendering is below. Not too shabby considering it was done with street rubber, not R's or slicks. Too bad the performance itself, which included smoking tires and large clouds of tire dust entering through the driver's window, cannot be adequately captured afterward... :D

Do you think there's room on the floor for an single inflatable too? (You've probably never been there before) Chris and I are thinking about it if we can get the car ready. Gotta check into entry.
Never mind....I'm booking into the event hotel...Holiday Inn across the street. $75.00...I think they still have some available. Sounds like a better deal than getting stepped on by Alex when he gets up. :)

Adam and I stayed there for the Mid Div in 2006. It was hot as heck and their AC only cooled the room down to about the upper 80's. We checked into our room only to find that it hadn't been cleaned. It took something like 3 trips to the front desk and a phone call to finally get someone to clean it. That was getting on towards 10pm.
The next night we stayed at the Drury. The service, ammenities, rooms, and AC were excellent. They had an open bar w/3 drinks included in the room price and breakfast iirc.
I stayed at the Clarion last year (w/Neal, Katie, and Parker). Although ok, it was an aging hotel and nothing to get excited about. The shower drain didn't drain very well.

3 drinks! Included!!!
Well since you've been there, maybe you can tell me what you think of Plan A? I have a single size inflatable I don't mind sleeping on. Is there enough room for 4? Would sure make is more affordable.

Pat and Chris,
I've got a two room suite with 2 double beds and a hide-a-bed couch. The way it was described to me, I think it'll be comparable to the two-room suites like we'd get over in Milwaukee. Alex and Amy have one bed, I can sleep on a bed or air matress. I'd think that there would be room for your air matress.

Had to stay behind & work this weekend, somebody's gotta keep Team One Out in tires!
Just talked to Ivan, Neal is winning BS after day one, Ivan is behind by a VERY small margin, can't remember if he said one thousandth or one hundredth of a second. Katie is all by her lonesome in BSL. Haven't heard how the rest are doing and results aren't posted yet. They said the parking lot at Arrowhead Stadium is great, lot's of camber changes and great visibility for spectating.
More news later!
The site is great - it's huge with a good surface and some elevation changes.
I had a great time. I did alright on Saturday, but with some advice from all of the MAC drivers I did pretty well today. I beat my personal goal, and even though I ended up last in my class I still did pretty well because my competition had 100+ hp on me. My only complaints were that the heats seemed to drag on forever because they would leave so much time in between starting cars to make up for the slow course workers (some of them didn't run after cones, they walked), and that some guy decided to go out of his way to be a complete jerk to me and warn me about rolling my car (I'm still working on getting my tires to squeal more often, I don't think you guys are going to have to worry about me rolling my car).
I would definitely go back there, it was worth the 7 hour drive.
Alex is going through his photos of the event right now so he should be posting some within the next day or two.

Tons of picts from KC Divisional taken by 3 different people for the 3 heats. Some good and some to far away. http://www.flickr.com/photos/renesis05/
Chris is on page one and elsewhere. Neal and Ivan on about pages 8 and up and likely later but I have not looked at but 12 of the 200+ pages of photos.
My error. Not all photos from KC are up yet. But some of Parker, Chris, Ivan and Neal are.
Another source for picts: http://gotcone.com/pgallery/2008_autocross/04_19-04_20_scca_midiv_-_arrowhead_lot_l

Thanks for the link. I took a few too, but I screwed up the exposure in most of them, so it might take some time to go all the postprocessing to get them to look halfway decent.
