The 1st Land O' Lakes RallyCross event for 2008 will be held Sunday March 30th in Cannon Falls, MN.

The full 2008 Land O' Lakes RallyCross Schedule can be viewed at
http://www.scca-lol.org/rally/rallyx/schedule.php

The course is about ¾ of a mile long, with a combination of twisty switchbacks and open sweepers. This venue was a blast last year, we’ll see what it’s like in late March!!

As always, we need volunteers for course setup and timing & scoring. All competitors MUST work the course, when they are not running, and help with course take down.

Schedule:
Registration 9:00AM-10:00AM
Tech 9:00AM-10:30AM
Course walk 9:00AM-10:30AM
Driver's meeting 10:45AM
Timed Runs Start 11:00AM

Pre-Registration information will be forthcoming.

Entry Fee:
SCCA Members - $40.00
Non-Members* - $55.00 ($15.00 SCCA Weekend Membership + $40.00 Entry Fee)
*Non-members are required to purchase an SCCA Weekend Membership for $15.00 (which can be applied to a full SCCA membership fee at a later time).

Directions from HWY 52:
Take the Cannon Falls exit and head WEST on HWY 19 for 3.5 miles. Turn LEFT on 30th AVE and go .5 miles. Turn LEFT on 325th St. and go approximately .6 miles. The driveway to the event is on the left hand side. Please park on the left of the driveway. Regardless of what other internet directions might say, DO NOT TAKE 40th AVE TO GET TO THE EVENT. The landowner would like to keep traffic off of that street.

All competitors and spectators must sign the official SCCA Waiver of Liability(1). All minors present must have a minor waiver (2) filled out. Please download the registration (3) and identification (4) forms, and have them filled out prior to the event. The 2008 LOL RallyCross Championship will be run under the 2008 SCCA RallyCross Rules (5) and the 2008 LOL Championship Rules.

Sorry for such late notice. Been busy painting body panels and maybe all the fumes I've inhaled have affected my mental capacities...

Is this the same venue where last year's Dirty Jack o'Lantern event was held?

Is this the same venue where last year's Dirty Jack o'Lantern event was held?

Yes, unless my memory is really betraying me.

Please take note of the change of venue.

Hey All,

Unfortunately we have to change venues for the upcoming rallycross. The field was too soupy to even navigate slowly through with an SUV last night. We will, however, be able to run at the other site in Cannon Falls. It is just south of the original site. Directions to the new site are:

Go south on Hwy 52 out of Cannon Falls. Turn right on County 14. Follow 14 across County Rd 9 (4-way Stop, straight through stop). Turn right after farm aprox. 1-1/2 miles after County Rd 9. We will have a sign posted at the entrance and someone there to direct you in.

Here is the link to Google Maps of where to turn in. http://maps.google.com/maps?ie=UTF-8&hl=en&tab=wl You will follow the road back into the woods to a clearing on the left.

The address if you want to look it up separately, or plug it into a GPS, is:

38815 County 14 Blvd (or it will be County Hwy 14 Blvd in some GPS units)
Kenyon, MN 55946

For those with trailers, you will not be able to bring them all the way down to the field. You will have to unload after you turn off of the county rd. I will be going down there again tonight to assess what would be the best course of action for this. If you are planning on trailering a car down there, PLEASE EMAIL ME at awd1dr@yahoo.com and let me know right away. That way I can get back to you with the game plan for unloading. The field approach is short and steep. Some with lighter cars and trailers might be able to make it out, but it is unlikely right now because of the wet ground. For the next rallycross we will be building up the approach so you can get the trailers in there. We just don't have enough time for this one.

Thank you for the understanding and cooperation with this change. If you have any questions or concerns, please email me at awd1dr@yahoo.com or call me at 651-470-0371.

Thnak you,

Erik Dahl
Rallycross Chair
